Comrades in Campsie branch SSP did a bit of fundraising today (Sunday) in Milngavie at the weekly carboot sale at Homebase. Members have decided to make this a regular occurance - and will be back next week at 7am.

Scottish Miners in the Soviet Union - August 1953
Probably one of the most interesting pamphlets on the Soviet Union series I have been adding - this is an account - in detail - of a delegation to the Soviet union by Scottish Mine Workers in 1953. there is lots of technical information of interest to the mining industry - but of interest to me is mention of 5 year plans - and the visits to schools, hospitals and farms.
